Play Halo 3 Before Its Release Date and You'll Get BannedMCV reports that Argos, a catalogue retailer, broke the official release date of Halo 3, allowing consumers to acquire the game a week before the official release date. Halo fans have been able to buy the game from catalogue retailer Argos – and have sent pictures of their receipts and copies of the game into MCV. Pro-G contacted Microsoft and the software giant confirmed that it will ban the Live accounts of those who play the game earlier, even if they avoid online play. Simply not connecting to the internet doesn't appear to be a solution either. The rep also confirmed that Microsoft is able to ban accounts based on information collected by the console which shows when the game was played. Several gamers in the U.K. were able to buy a copy of Halo 3 after a retailer broke the game's street date.
